Redwood City, CA: One Person Hospitalized After 280 Freeway 5-Vehicle Accident

Five Vehicles Collide on 280 Freeway near Edgewood Road in Redwood City

Redwood City, California (December 28, 2016) – According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle crash occurred Tuesday evening sending one person to a hospital.

The incident took place around 4:00 p.m. on the northbound 280 Freeway, just north of Edgewood Road.

While the manner in which the accident occurred was not indicated in the report, at least five vehicles were involved in the Tuesday evening crash.

Paramedics responded to the accident scene and transported one person top Stanford Hospital with minor injuries.

As per the CHP report, a white Honda Accord suffered major front-end damage in the crash.

The accident led to the closure of number 1 and number 2 lanes of the freeway.

Towing services were requested at the scene to help in clearing the roadway.
