One Killed in Fatal Oroville Pedestrian Crash on Power House Hill Road at Palermo Road

Oroville, California (December 29, 2016) – A male pedestrian died early Thursday morning after he was struck by a vehicle in Oroville, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident was reported at about 1:09 a.m. today when a pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle on Power House Hills Road at Palermo Road.

Reportedly, the driver of the vehicle was approaching Palermo Road when they suddenly saw a man in the middle of the road and was unable to avoid hitting him.

The man was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The California Highway Patrol officials are investigating the incident to determine the cause. Alcohol or narcotics did not appear to be factors in the incident.
