One Killed in Fatal Highway 4 Rollover Crash in Concord

Vehicle Overturns on Highway East Of Port Chicago Highway Exit Killing One Person

Concord, California (December 29, 2016) – According to a California Highway Patrol report, one person was killed in deadly Wednesday night rollover crash in Concord.

The fatal crash was reported at about 7:59 p.m. on the westbound Highway 4 near Port Chicago Highway exit.

According to the CHP report, Concord police officers responded to the scene and found an overturned vehicle. Reportedly, the vehicle struck the center divider and overturned.

As per a report, another vehicle at the scene was blocking the first lane of the highway, but it was not clear if the vehicle was involved in the accident.

Paramedics were called to the scene to attend to possible injuries. Unfortunately, one person died in the incident. The victim’s name was not immediately released pending family notification.

The incident remains under investigation by the police to determine the cause.
